Rock Climbing at City Rock

Yesterday our Navigators got to learn the basics is Rock Climbing.
We met Matt in the front and he showed us all how to put on our harnesses.

We got an orientation to climbing and learned how to use the auto belay.

Then we climbed!

And dropped!

And climbed!

Some even climbed to the top!

Even though it was a little scary for some, all of our Navigators did a great job and had a blast!
Huge thank you to City Rock for such a great experience!

Board Gaming Sportsmanship Meeting

This weekend our Navigators learned about Sportsmanship with a fun board gaming meeting.
We practiced demonstrating all of our cardinal points while playing board games.

We learned about all the different types of board games, Chance, Cooperative, Strategy,  Skill and Group.
Then,  had the opportunity to play several of them.

Our Seniors spent the entire meeting very involved in an awesome Cooperative game, called Pandemic, where they were members of a team of specialists fighting against disease.

Much fun was had by all and everyone learned how to be a good sport!

First Bi-Annual Awards Ceremony

Our Navigators were awarded their first round of hard earned badges in December.

Our Seniors opened our ceremony with the moral compass, cardinal points, slogan and motto.

Then our Stargazers did a great performance of "I Love the Mountains"

Each of our Junior and Senior Navigators did a presentation.

Then we called each Navigator on stage to get their well deserved badges.

Our first badge ceremony was great!
