The Summit Achievement Award is the highest Navigator honor. After completing all levels of the Senior Navigator program, a Navigator can continue in the program through a series of tasks, goals and achievements that reflect the Navigator's personal passions, skills and interests.
In addition to leadership and community service requirements Navigators must chose 5 specialty achievement goals. These achievement awards can be worked on throughout the program.
Achievement Awards include:
First Aid
Lifesaving
Swimming
Backpacking
Camping
Bicycling
Winter Camping
Paddle Sports
Climbing and Mountaineering
Outdoor Cooking
Hiking
Orienteering
Sailing
Survival
Conservation and Ecology
These specialty awards require knowledge, study and application of the skills listed above. For more detailed information please see the Senior Captain or refer to your guidebook.
